Three Keefe Regional Technical School graduates are headed to college this fall with a boost from the company where they first put their training to work. Kaitlyn Hurley, Caroline Carvalho and Victoria Graumann have each received a $5,000 scholarship through the CVS Health Scholarship Program, an honor that recognizes both their classroom work and their co-op hours at CVS Pharmacy.

The scholarship supports students pursuing degrees in nursing and pre-medical studies, helping graduates carry their co-op experience into a healthcare career. Hurley and Carvalho will study nursing at Regis College. Graumann will enter Clark University's Honors Program on the pre-medical track.

For all three, the co-op placements offered more than a paycheck. They provided real workplace experience and the kind of confidence that comes from proving you can do the job, the same skills that will carry into their college classrooms and beyond.

Keefe Regional Technical School proudly celebrated the Class of 2026 during graduation ceremonies held May 27 at the Warren Conference Center and Inn in Ashland. The evening brought together families, friends, educators and community members to recognize 205 graduates as they closed an important chapter and prepared for the next stage of their journeys.

The ceremony included remarks from Valedictorian Jessica Zanchi, Salutatorian Victoria Graumann, National Honor Society President Skylar Marshall,  along with a performance of the national anthem by Gabriella Amuti.

This year also marked a special milestone for Keefe Tech with the school’s first graduating HVAC-R class, reflecting the continued growth of the school’s career and technical education programs.

As members of the Keefe Regional Technical School Class of 2026 prepare for life after graduation, students are set to continue their education at colleges, universities and trade schools across the country. The graduating class reflects the wide range of opportunities available through career and technical education, with students pursuing pathways in STEM, healthcare, arts, education and skilled trades.

According to senior exit data, 61% of graduates are headed to postsecondary education, including two- and four-year colleges and trade schools, while 37% will enter the workforce or apprenticeship programs and 2% will serve in the military.

Graduates will attend schools including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston University, Northeastern University, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, UMass Amherst, Clark University, The George Washington University and the Culinary Institute of America, among others.

Students will pursue a variety of fields, including aerospace engineering, nursing, computer science, animation, public health, elementary education and wildlife conservation biology.

The Class of 2026 leaves Keefe Tech with the skills, experiences and knowledge needed to pursue a wide range of future opportunities, and the school looks forward to following the accomplishments of its newest alumni in the years ahead.

Throughout the school year, members of the Keefe Regional Technical School Class of 2026 remained active in leadership programs, student organizations and athletics across the Keefe Tech community.

A total of 61 seniors participated in the Student Ambassador Program this year, helping prospective students and families learn more about career and technical education and Keefe Tech’s vocational programs. Thirty-six seniors also served as Peer Mentors, providing guidance and classroom-based activities for Grade 9 students throughout the school year.

Students were also involved in a variety of organizations and activities throughout the year. Nineteen seniors participated in Business Professionals of America, 12 students participated in Future Farmers of America and 34 students competed through SkillsUSA. Three seniors qualified for the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Atlanta this June, including one reigning national champion, one returning national competitor and one first-time national qualifier. Additionally, 70 seniors participated in varsity or junior varsity athletics during the school year.

Members of the Class of 2026 were also recognized throughout the spring for their leadership, achievements and involvement across the school community, with 53 seniors honored during Senior Awards Night.

Keefe Tech congratulates this year’s seniors and thanks them for the leadership, mentorship and school spirit they brought to the Keefe community throughout their time at the school.

On May 7, Keefe Regional Technical School welcomed incoming Grade 8 students and their families for the Class of 2030 Welcome Event. The evening provided future Broncos with an opportunity to explore Keefe Tech’s career and technical education programs, connect with current students and get a firsthand look at life at Keefe before the start of the school year this fall.

Throughout the event, current vocational students showcased their programs through hands-on demonstrations, interactive displays and conversations about their experiences at Keefe Tech. Incoming students and families had the chance to learn more about shop life, extracurricular opportunities and the many pathways available to students during their time at Keefe.

The Welcome Event also highlighted the leadership and pride of Keefe Tech students, who played an important role in helping future Broncos feel welcomed and excited about joining the school community.

“We were excited to welcome the Class of 2030 to Keefe Tech and give students and families a chance to experience the opportunities that make our school so special,” said Superintendent Jonathan Evans. “Seeing our current students share their experiences and take pride in their programs was a great reflection of our school community.”

Keefe Tech looks forward to welcoming the Class of 2030 this fall and officially introducing the next generation of Broncos to the Keefe community.

As the school year comes to a close, seniors at Keefe Regional Technical School are celebrating the final milestones of their high school experience before graduation later this month.

On May 5, the Keefe Tech English Language Learner (ELL) Department recognized graduating seniors during a special student celebration held in the auditorium. The event highlighted the accomplishments and growth of students throughout their time at Keefe Tech and gave seniors an opportunity to celebrate together as they prepare for graduation.

Members of the Class of 2026 are also preparing for several upcoming senior events, including prom on May 16, Senior Awards Night on May 20 and graduation on May 27.

Throughout the year, seniors remained active in athletics, leadership programs and student organizations across the school community. Students participated in SkillsUSA, Business Professionals of America and Future Farmers of America, while others served as Student Ambassadors and Peer Mentors, helping support younger students and prospective families throughout the school year.

Keefe Tech looks forward to celebrating the Class of 2026 and recognizing the many contributions seniors have made to the school community throughout their time at Keefe.

Keefe Regional Technical School is proud to recognize Design & Visual Communications senior Cliff Kazanjian for earning Best of Show honors in the 2026 Massachusetts Junior Duck Stamp Contest.

Cliff received the competition’s top award for his acrylic painting, “Resurfaced,” which was selected from 78 entries submitted by students from across Massachusetts. His artwork will now advance to the national level of the competition, representing the state of Massachusetts.

The Junior Duck Stamp Contest is part of a nationwide program that combines wildlife conservation and art education, encouraging students to showcase their creativity and appreciation for the natural world through original artwork.

Cliff’s award-winning piece demonstrated exceptional attention to detail, composition and artistic skill, highlighting the creativity and dedication he has developed through Keefe Tech’s Design & Visual Communications program.

On June 23-28, 10 students from Keefe Regional Technical School attended the SkillsUSA Nationals Skills and Leadership Conference in Atlanta, GA. SkillsUSA is the #1 national workforce development organization for students and a proud champion of the skilled trades.  Their mission is to empower students to become skilled professionals, career ready leaders and responsible community members.

Four students, Mariana Santos (Framingham), Hellen Da Silva (Framingham), Samantha McDonald (Holliston) and Caroline Carvalho ( Framingham), participated as National Voting delegates, representing the state of Massachusetts. 6 students competed in various contests, consisting of, Daniela Alvarez Ariana (Framingham) in First Aid/CPR, Cole Turner (Natick) in Criminal Justice, Arielle Fisher (Holliston) in Computer Programming, Luke Lavin (Hopkinton) in Cabinetmaking, Brianna Horrigan (Framingham) in Basic Health Care, and Kai Philip Gray (Framingham) in Information Technology. All of these students participated in contests and meetings over the span of 6 days.

Along with the 10 students the following 6 staff members attended the conference with the students: Jennifer Graham (Health Careers), Erin Roy (Health Careers), Patrick Colburn (Criminal Justice), Mark Hamilton (Programming and Web), Joseph Flynn (Director of Career and Technical Education, and Michael Dolan (Director of Special Education).

On June 27, at the Awards Ceremony, Cole Turner came in 5th in the nation, Brianna Horrigan earned 3rd place Bronze Medal, Arielle Fisher earned a 3rd place Bronze Medal, and Kai Philip Gray earned 1st place Gold Medal.  Both Luke Lavin and Daniella Alvarez Arana earned Skill Points Certificates. Keefe Tech is beyond proud of these students and all of their accomplishments. 

State Treasurer Deborah B. Goldberg, Chair of the Massachusetts School  Building Authority (“MSBA”), and MSBA Executive Director Mary Pichetti announced on December 13, 2024, that the MSBA Board of Directors voted to invite Keefe Regional Technical School, located in the City of Framingham, into the MSBA’s Eligibility Period.  

During the 270-day Eligibility Period, the MSBA will work with the district to determine  the district’s financial and community readiness to enter the MSBA Capital Pipeline. “The Board has voted Keefe Regional Technical High School into the Eligibility Period,” said Treasurer Deborah B. Goldberg. “The MSBA will work collaboratively with local officials to ensure the best outcome for the district’s students.” 

The next step is for the district to complete preliminary requirements pertaining to local  approval and formation of a local school building committee. Upon timely and successful completion of the Eligibility Period requirements, the district becomes eligible  for an invitation into the Feasibility Study phase of the MSBA Capital Pipeline, subject to  a vote of the Board of Directors. 

“The Eligibility Period is a critical step in the MSBA’s process of evaluating potential  work on Keefe Regional Technical School,” stated Executive Director Pichetti.  “We look forward to our continued partnership with the district as it enters the Eligibility  Period.” 

The MSBA partners with Massachusetts communities to support the design and  construction of educationally-appropriate, flexible, sustainable and cost-effective public  school facilities. Since its 2004 inception, the Authority has approved 1,138 projects and has made over $17.5 billion in reimbursements for school construction projects across  the Commonwealth.

"The entire Keefe Tech community is thrilled with our invitation into the MSBA program.  We are looking forward to developing a plan that will allow our school district to continue providing state of the art Career and Technical Education for decades to come,” states Keefe Tech Superintendent, Jonathan Evans.
